Rental Agreement & Terms (Austria Only)

CIELIE Rental Agreement

This Rental Agreement applies to all rental items booked through the CIELIE website.

By placing a rental booking, you (“Customer”) enter into a legally binding agreement with CIELIE (“we”, “us”, “our”).

1. Ownership of Items

All rental items remain the sole property of CIELIE at all times.
No ownership rights are transferred to the Customer.

Items must not be altered, modified, tailored, repaired, washed, dry-cleaned, or treated in any way without prior written consent from CIELIE.

2. Payment Authorisation

By entering into this agreement, you authorise CIELIE to charge the selected payment method for:

  • the rental fee

  • the refundable security deposit

  • any additional charges arising under this agreement (including damage, loss or late return fees)

You confirm that you are authorised to use the selected payment method and agree not to dispute charges where CIELIE has fulfilled its obligations.

If a charge cannot be processed, you agree to pay any outstanding amount within 5 business days of invoice.

3. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit of USD 200 is required for all rentals.

The deposit will be refunded after the item is returned on time and inspected, provided it is returned in acceptable condition.

CIELIE reserves the right to partially or fully retain the deposit in accordance with this agreement.

4. Rental Period

The rental period begins on the delivery or pickup date selected by the Customer and ends on the final booked rental day.

The item must be:

  • returned to the showroom or

  • handed over to the post office

no later than the day after the rental period ends.

Late returns may result in additional charges.

5. Delivery

Customers are responsible for providing a complete, correct and secure delivery address.

CIELIE is not responsible for failed or delayed delivery due to:

  • incorrect or incomplete address details

  • failed delivery attempts

  • circumstances beyond our control (postal delays, force majeure)

If delivery is confirmed by the carrier, the item is deemed delivered.

6. Condition, Wear & Cleaning

Rental items are not brand new and may show minor signs of wear consistent with normal use.

Professional cleaning after return is included.
Customers must not attempt to clean the item themselves.

Use of fake tan, heavy makeup, perfumes, oils or body products is at the Customer’s own risk.

7. Damage, Loss & Replacement

Customers must report any existing damage or faults within 24 hours of delivery and before wearing the item.

Damage rules:

  • Minor wear or removable stains: no charge

  • Repairable damage: repair costs may be deducted from the deposit

  • Irreparable damage or permanent stains: up to 120% of the original retail price

  • Lost or unreturned items: up to 200% of the original retail price

CIELIE reserves the right to charge the Customer’s payment method for any amount exceeding the deposit.

8. Size & Fit

Customers are responsible for selecting the correct size.

By completing the booking, the Customer confirms that the selected size is correct.
Size or fit issues do not constitute grounds for refund.

9. Cancellations

Rental bookings may be cancelled up to 48 hours before the rental start date.

Cancellations made after this period are non-refundable.

CIELIE reserves the right to cancel a booking if the item becomes unavailable due to damage, loss, or late return by a previous customer.
In such cases, a full refund will be issued.

10. Late Returns

Late return fees may apply if the item is not returned by the agreed time.

Late fees may be calculated per day and may extend up to the full replacement value of the item if the delay affects future bookings.

11. Limitation of Liability

CIELIE is not liable for:

  • missed events

  • indirect or consequential losses

  • personal injury related to the use of the rental item

CIELIE’s liability is limited to the amount paid by the Customer for the rental.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Rental Agreement is governed by Austrian law.
The place of jurisdiction is Vienna, Austria.

13. Changes to Agreement

CIELIE reserves the right to amend this Rental Agreement at any time.
The version applicable to a booking is the one in effect at the time the booking is placed.
