At the heart of our brand is Elif, an architect and real estate developer
who turned her lifelong love for colors, fabrics, and fashion into a
reality. Her journey with fashion began at the tender age of 3 when her mother introduced her to sewing and designing classes. It was here that Elif's fascination with fashion and dresses took root, as her mother's creations made her feel special and pretty. Though her path led her to architecture and real estate development, her affinity for aesthetics, materials, and interior design remained intertwined with her love for fashion.
After years in the real estate industry, Elif decided to follow her heart's calling. In January 2024, she founded Cielie, a brand that resonates with her appreciation for beauty, elegance, and the connection between fashion and architecture.
THE NAME
Cielie
The name CIÉLIE, derived from the French word ciel for sky and heaven, reflects Elif's habit of staring at ceilings in buildings and gazing up at the sky. This connection to the heavens inspires the brand's ethos, blending elegance and timelessness reminiscent of Vienna's old architectural masterpieces adorned with celestial ceiling paintings, angels, and stucco.
